Reliability analysis of ground movement in tunnelling in spatially variable soil using equivalent parameters

نویسندگان

چکیده

The evaluation of the ground movement induced by tunnelling is vital importance for tunnel construction and safety adjacent facilities. As spatial variability soil was widely acknowledged, more researches take insight into uncertainty analysis tunnelling. However, reliability considering still a tough task since accurate failure probability generally needs time-consuming calculation random finite element/difference. Instead conducting direct Monte-Carlo simulation, this study utilizes simplified framework to analyze main concept adopting variable model with equivalent parameters producing comparable as results field model. Coupling variance reduction technique, than one can be addressed. Two cases are studied explain adaptability accuracy in characteristic spatially thoroughly comprehended through various parametric study, based on robustness framework. Results show that precisely predicts relatively efficient manner.

Efficient System Reliability Analysis of Slope Stability in Spatially Variable Soils Using Monte Carlo Simulation

Monte Carlo simulation (MCS) provides a conceptually simple and robust method to evaluate the system reliability of slope stability, particularly in spatially variable soils. However, it suffers from a lack of efficiency at small probability levels, which are of great interest in geotechnical design practice. To address this problem, this paper develops a MCS-based approach for efficient evalua...
